The endoscopic capsule (1) has a sampling unit for sampling a smear of a wall of a hollow organ, where the sampling unit is supported in a vibratable manner. The sampling unit is designed as a smear spattle, smear swab and smear brush. Raw surface of an area is formed by points and/or hooks, which are distributed over the area. The sampling unit is coated with an adhesive layer. A controllable operating unit is provided for movement of a cover (7).
