A pressure transmitter with a self diagnosis and an inline calibration function and a method for regulating a value of the same are provided to performing a regulation operation of a regulated value. A pressure transmitter measures and transmits the pressure in a pipe. The pressure transmitter includes a pressure transmission section(1) and a pressure regulation section(2). The pressure regulation section is detachably assembled in the pressure transmission section to apply pressure and vacuum. The pressure transmission section includes a housing, a sensor section(14), an amplifier, a signal processing section(152), an EEPROM(16), and a transmission circuit(154). The pressure regulation section includes a housing, a pump(22), a signal processing section(24), and a display section(25).
