<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and appropriately eliminate overlap between a component column and a constituent component in plotting using CAD. <P>SOLUTION: In a component column generation method for generating a multi-stage component column 36 on CAD data, overlap between the component column 36 and other shape elements 32 is detected. When the overlap is detected, a height of each stage of the component column 36 is reduced to H1. In the case that the overlap between the component column 36 and other shape elements 32 is not eliminated though the height of each stage of the component column 36 is reduced to H1, the number of stages of the component column 36, which overlap the shape elements 32, is obtained. A portion of these stages is separated and is moved in such direction that they don't overlap the shape elements 32, and thus the component column 36 is divided into a branch source component column 36a and a branch destination component column 36b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
