PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image output to be performed by real time even when the radial scanning of a probe is sped up in an image diagnostic system. SOLUTION: The probe which repeats the transmission/receipt of a signal is radially scanned in a body cavity, and a reflective signal in the body cavity is acquired by the probe, and thus, this image diagnostic system forms/outputs a tomographic image in the body cavity. The image diagnostic system is equipped with an extracting means, and a first output controlling means. In this case, the extracting means extracts a part of data which has been formed from the reflective signal from a frame rate when the tomographic images are continuously displayed. The first output controlling means performs a control in such a manner that the tomographic images in the body cavity may be continuously formed by using the extracted data, and may be output by real time while corresponding to the radial scanning.
