PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the processing speed at image superimposing compositing time, without deteriorating the detection accuracy of the positional deviation of a plurality of images, regardless of the object and photographic conditions. SOLUTION: An image processor (8), for superimposing and compositing a plurality of mutually related images (10a-10m) on one image (11), has an image divider (1) for dividing the plurality of images into a plurality of blocks, means (2, 3) for selecting those blocks having high contrast for brightness among the plurality of blocks, a block position detector (4) for acquiring the displacement of the object position of each selected block by the selecting means between the plurality of images, and means (5, 6) for aligning and composing the plurality of images so that the object aligns, based on the displacement of the object position by the block position detector.
