PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of simultaneously performing both anti-alias processing of a character edge and translucence processing of a character. SOLUTION: Anαblending processing circuit 31 multiplies an anti-alias translucent coefficient of the k-th sprite read from a ROM by a masklayer translucent coefficient to calculate the k-th pair background blending ratio. Anαarithmetic processing circuit 32 calculates the k-th accumulated blending ratio from the k-th pair background blending ratio and the (k-1)-th accumulated blending ratio read from a buffer 18 and writes the k-th accumulated blending ratio in the buffer 18. An RGB arithmetic processing circuit 33 reads the (k-1)-th superposed color data from the buffer 18 to calculate the K-th superposed color data from the color data, the k-th sprite color data red from the ROM and the k-th accumulated blending ratio.
