PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain detector having few components to be mounted, and proper working efficiency and handleability. SOLUTION: This detector is equipped with a cylindrical strain element 2, generating a strain due to a load; a resistance element arranged on the strain element 2, whose resistance value is changed corresponding to the strain quantity; and a signal processing circuit connected to the resistive element. The detector has a constitution, wherein screw parts 4 are formed on the upper and on the lower parts of the strain element 2 so as to sandwich the strain element 2; a case 6, wherein the signal processing circuit is arranged is mounted on the strain element 2; the resistance element is arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the strain element 2; and the resistance element is connected to the signal processing circuit.
