PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a solid state electrolytic capacitor capable of positioning and holding a valve metal substrate on a holder easily and highly accurately. SOLUTION: When manufacturing a solid state electrolytic capacitor, a valve metal substrate 7A subjected to chemical conversion treatment is held by a holder 16. The valve metal substrate 7A includes a band-shaped part 14 and a plurality of element formation parts 15 formed on one side of the band-shaped part 14. The holder 16 includes a body member 17 and a fixed member 18 detachable with respect to the body member 17. The body member 17 includes a plate-shaped part 19 and a protruded part 20 provided on the plate-shaped part 19. When making the holder 16 hold the valve metal substrate 7A, a base end edge of the band-shaped part 14 is struck to the upper surface of the plate-shaped part 19. In this state, the band-shaped part 14 is pressed to the side surface of the protruded part 20 by the fixed member 18. Thereafter, a solid electrolyte layer and an electrode layer are formed in order on each element formation part 15 of the valve metal substrate 7A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
