PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium-sulfur battery composed by further equalizing a temperature distribution of a module in operation by devising a cell arrangement. SOLUTION: In this sodium-sulfur battery composed by storing a plurality of cylindrical cells in a case, and filling a thermal medium between the cells in the case, a module 2 of the sodium-sulfur battery where the arrangements of the cells 14 at ends 18a and 18b of the case 20 are closest, and the arrangement of the cells 14 at the center part 19 of the case 20 is square is used.
