PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form the desired number of ribs on a substrate. SOLUTION: This rib forming device is equipped with a main discharge part where a plurality of discharge openings are arranged and formed at a fixed pitch, and an auxiliary discharge part 431 having a single discharge opening 432. When forming the ribs, after arranging and forming a plurality of the ribs 811 on the substrate 9 by scanning the main discharge part, an action to form an additional rib 841a by scanning the auxiliary discharge part 431 relatively to the substrate 9 is performed while making the outermost rib 811c face one side wall 436 of the discharge opening 432 of the auxiliary discharge part 431. In this rib forming device, the thickness of the side wall 436 of the discharge opening 432 is formed to avoid interference with the outermost rib 811c already formed on the substrate 9 when the additional rib 841a is formed, and since the additional ribs 841a, 841b are repeatedly formed on the substrate 9 by the auxiliary discharge part 431, the desired numbers of ribs can be easily formed on the substrate 9.
