PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing a user's burden in managing unopened received mail. SOLUTION: This received mail processing method for processing received mail comprises the steps for: reading mail identification information for identifying received mail from the other mail and reference information showing the other mail relating to the mail and storing the information as received mail data in a storage device; discriminating received mail in an upper rank or a lower rank among the received mail according to the reference information in the received mail data and storing received mail related data showing mail identification information of the received mail in the upper rank or the lower rank in the storage device; and reading the mail identification information of the received mail in the higher rank or the lower rank among the received mail from the received mail related data and displaying a list of related received mail indicating received mail associated by the upper or lower information and contents of the latest received mail on an output device.
