PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of miscalculation in an accounts closing process even in the case that cash for use as change in the next day is taken out before the accounts closing process. SOLUTION: When performing a receipt process, a main control part 8 retrieves a payment process existing before the closest receipt process (preceding receipt process), from a receipt/payment process history of a counter table in a storage part 7 with respect to one register and writes information showing the completion of checking, to this payment process. When performing an accounts closing process, the main control part 8 extracts and totalizes amounts of money of receipt processes to which an account closing date is not written, and amounts of money of payment processes to which an account closing date is not written and information showing the completion of checking is not written, from the receipt/payment process history of the counter table in a storage part 7 and calculates the total amount of payment, the total amount of receipt, and the total amount of sales of all registers and calculates the total amount of payment, the total amount of receipt, and the total amount of sales of each register.
