PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking stove capable of preventing an indoor wall surface from being damaged by the heat of a combustion exhaust gas of high temperature, even when the gas cooking stove is installed in such a state that its back face is disposed along the indoor wall surface. SOLUTION: This gas cooking stove 1 comprises a stove burner main body 2, a combustion gas burner 3 disposed in the stove burner main body 2, and a trivet 4 disposed on a top face portion of the stove burner main body 2, and the back face of the stove burner main body 2 is disposed approximately along the indoor wall surface 7. A back guard 5 is vertically stood from the top face portion in a state of surrounding the circumference of a back part of a cooking pan A placed on the trivet 4 through an exhausting clearance S. A drift plate 6 bent forward at its upper end is disposed at an upper side of the back guard 5 for preventing the combustion exhaust gas rising in the exhausting space S from flowing to the indoor wall surface 7 at the back portion.
