PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discover and develop a new soluble protein and a receptor thereof (including ones similar to lymphokines), and to discover and understand a new receptor as a lymphokine-like molecule which enhances or potentiates the beneficial activities of other lymphokines. SOLUTION: The novel receptor as a ligand exhibiting similarity with a cytokine-like composition, e.g. the primate cytokine receptor-like molecular structure named DNAX cytokine receptor subunit (DCRS), the related compound, the method for the use thereof, and the like are provided.
