PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic compounded with N-acetyl-L-hydroxyproline, having excellent storage stability and giving excellent feeling in use (free from stickiness and tenseness of the skin). SOLUTION: The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic is produced by compounding (a) N-acetyl-L-hydroxyproline, (b) an alkyloylmethyl taurine salt, (c) a phospholipid and (d) an alkali agent.
