<p>An elevator where inspection of a pit (25) provided in the lower part of an elevator hoistway can be efficiently and safely performed. A plate-like member (11) is removably attached to a landing threshold (21), and openings (11a) are formed in the plate-like member (11) in its longitudinal direction. A lower-section-displacement prevention groove (30a) for fixing the position of the plate-like member (11) is formed in the bottom surface (30) of the pit (25). The plate-like member (11) is adapted so that, when it is removed from the landing threshold (21), one end of the plate-like member (11) is fitted in the lower-section-displacement prevention groove (30a).</p> |
