The invention relates to a sound device for acting on a person's motor automatisms comprising: - means for generating gleaned sounds SPi each exhibiting a frequency lying between 200 and 1500 Hz and a duration of betwe en 2 and 20 s, each of these gleaned sounds being separated by a time interval .DELTA.T of between 2 and 60 s, - means for controlling the emission and stoppage of the gleaned sounds, - means for generating associated sounds SA each exhibiting a frequency lying between 2 and 200 Hz and a duration of between 2 and 60 s, - means for triggering the emission of an associated sound, - and control means adapted for interrupting the emission of the gleaned sounds SPi and for ensuring the emission of at least one associated sound SA on receipt of an order to trigger an associated sound.
