<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always generate a beautiful image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device 111 photoelectrically converts an optical object image incident through a lens 110, an imaging circuit 112 converts photograph signals out of the imaging device 111 to digital imaging device output signals to be fed to a linearity corrector circuit 113 and an LUT 114, a correcting gain is taken out of the LUT 114 for correcting output characteristics according to the level of the imaging device output signals, a linearity corrector circuit 113 corrects the imaging device output signals so that nonlinear components thereof in the output characteristics are cancelled by multiplying the imaging device output signals by the correcting gain, a signal processor circuit 115 applies signal processes such as white balance process, gamma correction process, etc. to imaging data to make image data which are then sent to a display system 116 and a recording system 117. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
