<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ink cartridge holding member which enables replacement working of an ink cartridge to be smoothly carried out, and which can be equipped with a large-capacity ink cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge holding member can hold the ink cartridge 63, and is equipped with a door 76 and a fixing member. The door 76 is rotatable between a replacement enable position where an opening 88 is released to a case 75 formed with the opening 88 through which the ink cartridge 63 can be inserted and extracted, and a replacement unable position where the ink cartridge is made unable to be inserted and extracted to the case 75. The fixing member is set to be shiftable between an engagement state and a non engagement state to the door, and fixes a door member in a shutting posture. The fixing member is shifted from the non engagement state to the engagement state when a face to be pressure contacted which is formed in the fixing member is shifted while being pressed in contact by a pressure contact part formed in a holding part.
