APPLICATOR, APPLICATION METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator and an application method by which suction variation (reduced pressure variation) in a reduced pressure chamber can be reduced and to provide a manufacturing method of an optical film including a coating film obtained by the applicator and the application method.

SOLUTION: A blower 30 is connected with the reduced pressure chamber 26 via an air pipe 28, and an orifice 32 and a buffer device 33 are successively provided at the air pipe 28 running between the reduced pressure chamber 26 and the blower 30. The orifice 32 locally throttles a ventilative cross-sectional area in the air pipe 28 to one-fourth or below. The buffer device 33 has a buffer tank 34 and an air suction port 35 for feeding air to the buffer tank 34.
