PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for deciding whether to secure a space which is more than a parking space when a vehicle is parked on a parking permitted road, and for guiding the parking permitted road when it is decided that it is possible to park the vehicle. SOLUTION: This parking support system is provided with a storage means for storing vehicle width data relating to the vehicle width of a vehicle and vehicle width data relating to the vehicle width of a road associated with the parking permitted road and data for a space for parking relating to the space for parking associated with the parking permitted road; a retrieval means for retrieving the road where the parking is permitted; a calculation means for calculating the road width at the right side of the vehicle when the vehicle is parked on the retrieved parking permitted road; and an output means for outputting guidance by comparing the road width calculated by the calculation means and the space for parking.
