PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity device capable of reducing a diver noise. SOLUTION: The diversity device includes: a diversity operation execution means for executing a diversity operation for selecting an optimum reception antenna during a blanking period of a video signal received by the reception antenna; an audio signal discrimination means for discriminating whether an audio signal received by the reception antenna is a stereophonic signal or an audio multiplex signal; and a diversity operation limit means that controls the diversity operation execution means so as to stop the diversity operation for at least part of the blanking period when the audio signal discrimination means discriminates that the audio signal received by the reception antenna is the stereophonic signal or the audio multiplex signal.
