PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transient response characteristics of a solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor consists of a capacitor element 1 of which both ends are positive electrode part and a central part is a negative electrode part and which is mounted on an insulating board. The insulating board has such external electrode as facing side surfaces have the same polarity. A first conductive pattern 21 which is connected to an external electrode 20, being a positive electrode, forms a positive electrode connection part 23 connected to a positive electrode part 17 of the capacitor element 1 at a capacitor element mounting surface of an insulating board 2, with the countered external electrode 20, being a positive electrode, connected on the rear surface of the insulating board 2. A second conductive pattern 31 connected to the external electrode 30, being a negative electrode, comprises a negative electrode connection part 33 which allows the countered external electrode 30, being a negative electrode, to be electrically connected while electrically connects to a negative electrode part 18 of the capacitor element 1. The width of the first conductive pattern 21 is at least that of the external electrode 20, being a positive electrode, and the width of the second conductive pattern 31 is equal to or longer than the length of the negative electrode part 18 of the capacitor element 1 in length direction.
