PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out maintenance and inspection work of a main circuit, from the front side of a switchgear. SOLUTION: A metal enclosed type switchgear is provided with a box body 1 of the switchgear; drawer type circuit-breakers 3a, 3b stored in the box body 1, interlock plugs 7a, 7b, which are respectively provided to each of the circuit breakers 3a, 3b and can be pulled out at a disconnection position; inspection conductors 12a, 12b connected to main-circuit equipment 9a, 9b, 10a, 10b, 11a, and 11b on the load side of the circuit breakers 3a, 3b; and inspection windows 13a, 13b provided to the front side of the box body 1, while being respectively provided opposite to each end of the inspection conductors 12a, 12b. The inspection window parts 13a, 13b can be opened, by inserting the interlock plugs 7a, 7b into plug sockets; and consequently, the maintenance and inspection work, such as insulation resistance measurement from the inspection conductors 12a, 12b, can be carried out.
