PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device capable of causing a heater to sufficiently generate heat even with low voltage and reducing the heat radiation quantity from an electrode. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a first semiconductor region having an optical waveguide (3), the heater (9) provided on the first semiconductor region and having a plurality of coupled or divided heater segments, single first wirings (10) commonly connected to each of adjacent one ends of the heater segments adjacent to each other, and a plurality of second wirings (11) each differently provided on each of the other ends of the heater segments adjacent to each other.
