PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL light emitting device in which superior light emission is enabled by improving light extraction efficiency and by reducing the outdoor daylight reflection. SOLUTION: The organic EL light emitting device has a prism member 12, a polarization member 13, and a phase difference member 14 on the light extraction side of the organic EL element 10. In the device, the prism member 12 is one in which the longitudinal direction of a plurality of triangular prism shaped unit prisms are arranged mutually in parallel, the polarization member 13 is arranged on the light extraction side nearer than the prism member 12, and the apex angle of the prism member 12 is 90°or more and 140°or less.
