PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly pneumatic radial tire constituted of a≥45 wt.% vegetable-derived raw material. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire has (1) a rubber composition for a tread with the ratio of a vegetable-derived raw material being≥60 wt.%, (2) a rubber composition for a side wall with the ratio of a vegetable-derived raw material being≥45 wt.%, (3) a rubber composition for a carcass cord with the ratio of a vegetable-derived raw material being≥55 wt.%, (4) a rubber composition for a bead filler with the ratio of a vegetable-derived raw material being≥5 wt.%, and (5) a rubber composition for a belt cord with the ratio of a vegetable-derived raw material being≥53 wt.%. The ratio of the vegetable-derived raw material is set to be≥45 wt.% for the entire tire by using vegetable-derived fibers for the carcass cord. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
