PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating a drum without requiring heavy equipment. SOLUTION: Whether there is a deposit inside the drum 1 exhausted of an industrial waste is checked. The drum 1 judged not to have the deposit is recovered as it is. Whether the deposit is further removed by cleaning is judged in the drum 1 judged to have the deposit. The drum 1 with the deposit judged to be removed by cleaning is recovered after the deposit is cleaned.
