PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for block movement in air blasting and painting facilities, which prevents a ship or bridge block from being exposed to the outside air and reduces waiting time during a blasting/painting process. SOLUTION: A moving building 5 enclosing the ship or bridge block 4 is provided side by side along a blast shed 1 and a plurality of painting sheds 2 so as to be transversely transferred along them. The ship or bridge block 4 is transferred from the blast shed 1 into a moving building 5 by a transport truck 3, the moving building 5 and the transport truck 3 are synchronously and transversely transferred while the ship or bridge block 4 is enclosed in the moving building 5, and then the ship or bridge block 4 is transferred from the moving building 5 to any one of the plurality of painting sheds 2 by the transport truck 3.
