PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrophotometer having a simple constitution, easy measuring operation, and high measurement accuracy. SOLUTION: A recessed part 1K whose inner surface is a hemispherical surface constituting a measuring chamber C is formed on the upper surface of a measuring stand 1. The upper end of an optical fiber 3 for introducing measuring light into the measuring chamber C is disposed on a bottom part of the measuring chamber C, and the upper end face constitutes a part of an inner surface formation of the measuring chamber C. The end face of the optical fiber 3 has a flat face F. On the other hand, a measuring rod 2 is arranged oppositely over the measuring stand 1. When the measuring rod 2 is pressed onto the recessed part 1K position on the upper surface of the measuring stand 1, the measuring chamber C is formed between both members. An optical fiber 4 for introducing measuring light is also buried on the center axial core on the measuring rod 2 side, and the lower end of the optical fiber 4 forms a part of the lower end face of the measuring rod 2, and the optical path length is specified by the distance D between each end face of both optical fibers 3, 4. When a sample is injected into the measuring chamber C and the measuring rod 2 is pressed onto the measuring stand 1, the sample is stored in the measuring chamber C in the sandwiched and closed state, and then measured.
