<p>A user identification system includes a mobile terminal device holding user information for receiving a predetermined service and a user information check device for checking the user information. When the mobile terminal device is owned by a person other than its authorized user, the system can prevent reception of the service by the person. The user information check device acquires biometric data when an owner of the mobile terminal device places his/her body portion at a predetermined position and transmits the biometric data directly to the mobile terminal device in the vicinity by radio. The mobile terminal device receives the biometric data and correlates it with the biometric data stored in advance. Only if they coincide, the user information stored in advance is transmitted to the user information check device by radio. The user information check device allows the owner to use the mobile terminal device according to the transmitted user information.</p> |
