A display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to supply a data signal to pixels by controlling a grayness voltage generator and a digital/analog converter according to a selection signal. A display apparatus includes first and second pixels, first and second scan lines, data lines, a scan driver(400), a grayness voltage generator(800) and a data driver(500). The first and second pixels display first and second colors, respectively. The first and second scan lines, which are connected to the first and second pixels, deliver first and second scan signals, respectively. The data lines supply a data voltage to the first and second pixels. The scan driver supplies the scan signal to the scan lines. The grayness voltage generator generates first and second grayness voltage groups for the first and second colors, respectively. The data driver converts first and second image signals for the first and second colors into first and second grayness voltages respectively and sequentially applies the first and second grayness voltages on the data lines as the data voltage.
