<p>A rotary dobby, a loom comprising the dobby, and a method for controlling the dobby are provided to increase the operating speed of the loom, by using a main shaft, which is stopped every half-turn but slows down on reaching a selected angular zone. A dobby includes first and second latches(10,11) for connecting a driving element(8) and an actuator element(4) in rotation. An elastic bias member(19) enables the latches to be elastically biased toward a structure where respective bearing surfaces of the latches are engaged with corresponding surfaces of the actuator element. A control unit(14) moves the latches against the operation of the elastic bias member, wherein the elastic bias member operates directly on the first latch and indirectly on the second latch. The control unit moves the first latch with respect to the elastic bias member.</p> |
