Unclarified liquid and gas are delivered to tank 1 by conduits 13 and solid particles entrained by gas float along the upper surface of compartments 9 while the clarified water flows along the lower surface of the compartments into collecting chamber 12. The separation is improved by deflectors 19. The solids pass over overflow 18 and are removed by pump 7. The apparatus may be used for the treatment of waste water from the paper and pulp industries. |
