An authentication method, an authentication apparatus, and an authentication program recording medium are provided to maintain security firmness and to reduce complication of authentication work by authenticating the first and second programs through first and second reference data and authentication data. A first program is authenticated by acquiring a first reference data, and acquiring authentication data inputted when authenticating the first software to operate the first program. If a user is verified, the first program is executed. A second program is authenticated by acquiring a second reference data, and using the second reference data and the acquired authentication data from the first authentication to operate the second program. If a user is verified, the second program is executed. The same first and second reference data are acquired.
