A transversal field mode liquid crystal display is provided to move a reverse rotation area of a liquid crystal to the outermost part of a pixel area by opening one side of both edge points of a pixel electrode slit pattern, thereby improving the aperture ratio and reducing a black matrix area in a liquid crystal display such as FFS(Fringe Field Switching) and IPS(In-Plane Switching). A transversal field mode liquid crystal display comprises the following parts: an array circuit board having a structure when pixel electrodes(27) having a shape which includes a slit pattern and a counter electrode of a plate shape are stacked under installation of insulation layer within an unit area limited by a gate line(21) and a data line(25); a color filter board, which is oppositely installed to the array circuit board, having a color filter and black matrix; and a liquid crystal layer which is installed between the array circuit board and a color filter board. |
