A signal driving device and a display apparatus having the same are provided to apply different control voltage to a second gate electrode according to turning on/off of a switching element, thereby minimizing turn off current and increasing turn off current of a channel area. A signal driving device and a display apparatus having the same comprise the following parts: a source electrode(220) to which a first signal is applied; a drain electrode(230) which is connected to a driving voltage output terminal; a first gate electrode(210) to which a first switching voltage with a predetermined period is applied; a channel area which is formed between the source electrode and the drain electrode; a thin film transistor(200) including a second gate electrode(240) electrically connected to the first gate electrode; and a current control unit for applying a current control signal to the second gate electrode according to the period.
