An air cleaner having a water filter is provided to discharge polluted air to water contained inside an air cleaner body unit by a blower so as to allow the foreign matter to be absorbed on the water and supply purified air only. An air cleaner having a water filter comprises an air cleaner body unit(1) where water is contained, a body cover(2), a blower(3), an air supply pipe(5), a diffusion guide pipe(6), a water splash guide plate(7), and an air outlet(13). The body cover covers the air cleaner body unit to define an air discharge path(4) for the discharge of purified air between the upper side and outer periphery of the air cleaner body unit. The blower is installed on the upper side of the body cover, capable of absorbing and discharging the air to the air cleaner body unit. The air supply pipe is contoured on a lower center of the air cleaner body unit, having the lower end shaped as a trumpet for diffusing the air discharged by the blower in all directions underwater in the air cleaner body. The diffusion guide pipe is fixed on the bottom of the air cleaner body unit, having a ramda-shaped sectional surface so that a pinnacle is to be located in the lower center of the air supply pipe for diffusion of air pressure and water. The water splash guide plate is fixed inside the air cleaner body unit, capable of guiding the splash of water in all directions by the air pressure supplied to the air supply pipe. The air outlet is contoured on the upper surface of the air cleaner body unit to discharge purified water with foreign materials filtered by making contact with the water splashed by air pressure.
