An electrode for a fuel cell, a membrane electrode assembly containing the electrode, and a fuel cell system containing the membrane electrode assembly are provided to allow the thickness of a micropore layer, the size of pores and the distribution of pore to be controlled easily. An electrode(100) comprises an electrode base(101); a microporous layer(103) which is located on the surface of the electrode base and has a micropore(102) having a diameter of 1-1,000 nm; and a catalyst layer(105) which is formed on the surface of the microporous layer, wherein the microporous layer shows at least one peat in the size distribution diagram of micropores measured by using a porometer and the total area of the peak is 20% or more of the total area of the distribution diagram.
