The packaging (1) has a peripheral wall (8) extending around the product and this wall presents first and second edges (3, 4) for supporting the packaging against two hot sides of a grill. The packaging is made from heat-resistant material and the compressibility of the product is greater than that of the wall. The packaging is made from cardboard and has a triangular shape, created by joining the ends of the peripheral wall blank together. An independent claim is also included for a blank for producing the packaging, comprising main panels which form the peripheral wall portions and at least two fold lines extending in the blank cross-direction.
