A sealed magnetic contact device of the type disclosed in Specification 1,021,047 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape. It may be formed with two insulating caps 2, 3 (Fig. 1B, not shown), on opposite sides of a plate 1 which is slotted as disclosed in Specification 1,026,565 to form the resilient armature 4. A single device may contain two plates (Fig. 2, not shown), co-operating with separate fixed contacts. A number of devices may have a common operating coil and a common ferrite part (Fig. 3, not shown). Non-magnetic fixed contacts may be engaged by the armatures when the coil is de-energized.
