A side brush for a road surface sweeping vehicle is provided to prevent brush steel wires from being moved in the steel wire inserting holes, and to preclude the brush from being damaged due to the collision with road boundary stones by installing steel wire movement prevention projection parts. A rotary shaft inserting hole(2) is formed at the center of a side brush. A plurality of steel wire inserting holes(3) are formed between an outer peripheral surface(2a) of the brush and the shaft inserting hole to be placed concentrically to a plurality of bolt coupling holes(2b). Partitions(4) are formed at the center in the steel wire inserting holes to divide the space. Disk shaped brush fixing plates(7) are horizontally placed with front and rear inclined surfaces(6). A plurality of brush steel wires(8) are bent in the steel wire inserting holes. The brush steel wires inserted in the steel wire inserting holes are supported to maintain the same tilt angle as that of the front and rear inclined surfaces. Steel wire movement prevention projection parts(4a) are integrally formed to one side of the upper ends of the partitions to preclude the brush steel wires from being moved in the steel wire inserting holes.
