A method for manufacturing ice using an immersion-type ice making unit is provided to obtain single crystal ice without having holes inside the ice by periodically supplying water after a water tray is being filled causing continuous flow of water. A method for manufacturing ice using an immersion-type ice making unit comprises the steps of: supplying water into a water tray of the immersion-type ice making unit to fill the water tray fully(S10); periodically supplying water to the water tray filled with water causing overflow, for operating a submerged unit(S20); supplying relatively small amount of water to the submerged unit when a predetermined amount of ice cubes are produced(S30); and supplying high temperature and high pressure refrigerant gas to the submerged unit to escape the ice cubes when the ice manufacturing is complete(S40).
