A revetment block for vegetation and a construction method for a vegetation retaining wall using the revetment block for vegetation are provided to achieve the effects of vegetation, dimensional stability, constructability, structural stability and environment-friendliness. A revetment block(100) for vegetation is formed by forming a front portion(110) to have the appointed radius of curvature and projecting forward and forming side portions(120) in the shape of a key, wherein the section of joint irregularities(120c,120d) on the key shaped side portion is designed to be thicker than the forward side portion to prevent fracture by live load and connecting grooves(120a) are formed on the key shaped side portions with the joint irregularities in zigzags to insert connecting pins(120b) to stabilize against earth pressure occurring from the rear. The construction method for a vegetation retaining wall using the revetment block for vegetation comprises the steps of: leveling the ground on the bottom of a slope the target of construction, placing foundation concrete and spreading non-woven fabrics on the top of the foundation concrete to prevent the loss of soil; coupling many revetment blocks for vegetation on the non-woven fabrics spread on the top of the foundation concrete to engage with each other using joint irregularities; spreading non-woven fabrics on the bottom of the first stage of the revetment blocks for vegetation to prevent the loss of soil and placing base materials for foundation in the revetment blocks for vegetation and filling up the backside with fillers such as broken stones; piling up revetment blocks for vegetation on the first stage of the revetment blocks for vegetation using connecting grooves and connecting pins; and repeating above mentioned steps to the planned height. |
