SMART CARD UNIFIED COMMUNICATION FUNCTIONS OF CONTACT TYPE AND NON-CONTACT TYPE AND OPERATION CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

A smart card unified with contact type and non-contact type communication functions and an operation controlling method thereof are provided to set an operation mode according to each function and execute a simultaneous performance mode capable of performing both of the contact type and non-contact type functions, so that a user can one smart card as a mobile communication card, a traffic card, a membership card and so on. An RF(Radio Frequency) interface(400) transmits and receives RF data to and from a non-contact terminal. A contact type interface transmits and receives data to and from a contact terminal. A microprocessor(510) performs corresponding data processing according to a command provided through the RF interface or the contact type interface. An interrupter(570) generates an interrupt signal in correspondence with power newly applied through the RF interface or the contact type interface so that the microprocessor performing one of a contact type communication mode through the RF interface or a non-contact type communication mode through the contact type interface can be switched into a simultaneous performance mode.
