METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYURETHANE AND POLYURETHANE OBTAINED THEREBY

A method for preparing polyurethane is provided to produce polyurethane which is superior in mechanical properties and sound-absorbing performances and is useful for interior materials. A method for preparing polyurethane includes the steps of: adding 0.1-20 parts by weight of clay and 1-25 parts by weight of barium sulfate to 100 parts by weight of polyol and stirring the admixture to prepare polyol containing the clay; and adding 27-37 parts by weight of a diisocyanate compound to 100 parts by weight of the prepared polyol to prepare polyurethane. The clay is one selected from the group consisting of montmorillonite, bentonite, hectorite, fluorohectorite, beidellite, nontronite, stevensite, vermiculite, volkonskoite, magadiite, or kenyalite.
