A vegetation-cutter comprises a wheeled frame 1 supporting a motor 5 which is connected by a shaft 13 and bevel gearbox 12 to a cutting tool 15 rotating in a horizontal plane, the tool and its driving shaft is carried by a cradle 2 articulated to the frame by pairs of parallel links 10, 11 and adjustable relatively to the ground by remote control means 23, 27 carried by the frame. The adjusting means comprises a threaded rod 23 engaging a captive nut in a fork 20 mounted on the upper links. 10, the rod being held on the handle-bars 7 so as to be rotatable by a handle 27. A sprag 8 supports the rear of the frame when not in use. The rear ends of the links 10, 11 are mounted on pivots 17, 19 which are retractable by spring loaded levers 28, 29 to release the whole cradle when, desired. |
