<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out remote control of different types of devices to be controlled by very easy operation, without preparing a special hardware. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU11 of a remote controller detects the direction of drawing inputted into a touch panel 3; and selects an object to be controlled such as a television receiver, an air-conditioner apparatus, a CD apparatus, an amplifier apparatus and the like, based on the direction of the detected drawing.
