PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clad material which is excellent in productivity and corrosion-resistance and easily controls surface conditions and flatness of a side material and to provide the side material for the clad material. SOLUTION: The clad material comprises a core material 26 including a cast structure and one or more layers of side materials 35 overlapped on one side or both sides of the core material 26. The layers 35a and 35b of the side material 35 each comprise a metal whose component composition is different from that of the core material 26. When the core material 26 is overlapped on one side or both sides of the side material 35, at least the layer 35a of the side material 35 includes the cast structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
