PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of achieving electronic camera shake correction with a small memory capacity. SOLUTION: In the electronic camera shake correction wherein image data of an N-th frame in photographing a moving picture by using a solid-state imaging element 11 are stored in a first memory (22 or 23), image data of (N+1)th frame are stored in a second memory (22 or 23), a correlation arithmetic processing section 29 calculates a motion vector between the image data stored in the first and the second memories, and the camera shake correction is applied to the moving picture on the basis of the calculated motion vector, a shake permissible limit (m) is determined on the basis of an output resolution (L) and a shake sensing limit (p) of the moving picture, a pre-processing section 21 magnifies/reduces the imaged image data output from the solid-state imaging element 11 at a ratio (n/m) of a detection resolution (n) to the shake permissible limit (m) of the motion vector to generate the image data stored in the first and the second memories.
